The recoil looks worse than it actually is compared to CSS. It's just the way it is utilized. In DoD, every shot is completely straight (well, for the most part). But your actual crosshairs move before the next shot, making it possible to minimize the recoil practically completely by adjusting your mouse as you shoot.

yeah like with assault you drag down like hell and can spray for kills

The assault doesn't take much dragging, even when running. Support takes a bit while running, but not much when you are crouching and still, and hardly any when prone. MG's, when not mounted, take a high sensitivity mouse. :P

I had no problem with recoil at all. Although I avoided playing support... when I played 2 years ago I was just not good with it unless I camped.

It seemed to me that the best way to go was assault although some of you guys are ridiculous with the M1 and K98. Butters seemed to be particularly good with the M1.

Now that's strange because I definitely feel more recoil with the support class when I'm standing still than when I'm moving, but maybe its just a psychological thing on my part.

In CSS I have been using the MP5/Pump a lot because I can just run and shoot. I like to keep moving. In a game like DOD where you need to be ready to jump on a 2-person flag at any moment, the assault is just the most natural for me.

Support does have more recoil than Assault.

Crouching reduces recoil with every class...it's been that way since the beginning.
