• My name is Ryan. I'm 23 years old and currently live in The Woodlands, TX (~45 minutes north of downtown Houston). I've been into competitive gaming for quite some time now, though I haven't been too involved in the PC realm. I was a starter for war matches in one of the all-time top ten largest PS2 SOCOM:NS (aka SOCOM 1) clans from 2004-2005. I was involved in MLG competitive play in Halo 2 (XBOX) via custom matches and also placed top 24 at MLG Houston in late 2005 (team formation was spur of the moment so placed lower). After that I was involved in online 2v2 intermediate matches via XBC and LANs for Halo:CE (aka Halo 1). I've been a member of the Major League Gaming community since 2005 (http://www.mlgpro.com) and was even a moderator on those forums from 2008-2009. Outside of gaming, I've been married for three years as of November 25, 2009. I work as an engineering coordinator for a Fortune 500 oil and gas company called Smith International, Inc. I'm currently (still) pursuing a degree in industrial engineering.
  
  The reason I want to join db4d is because when I look at the attitudes and skill of the db4d players I've played with in the TTP CSS servers, I see players who not only are dedicated to improving themselves in the game but players who want to see other players get better. I also see a strong dedication to team play and coming from a background of competitive play this is something I have come to love. I also see players who know how to lead a team both at the start of a match and when the time comes in critical moments. Simply put, this is a team orientated clan, skillful clan that has a group bunch of guys that I'd love to get to know better and play with as a group.
  
  If I don't get accepted, I'd still like to thank the leader and the players for even giving me the opportunity to apply. I know that I am currently not involved as a poster on these forums (I do lurk though), which something I hope to change (it's a shy thing).
