Yeah, and if most football players tried playing soccer or basketball they would pass out from having to move for more than 6 seconds at a time, then getting a 30 second break. ANY professional athlete would kick ANY of our asses at just about ANY sport. Just because you don't understand a sport does not make it any less demanding, and for the record, the most violent sport is probably hockey. The go faster, hit harder, and have less pads than football.

On any test of pure athleticism and endurance hockey and soccer players would work the shit out of football players. Football players have conditioned their bodies to burst for 5-7 seconds, then rest for 25-40. Soccer players burst for 45 minutes, rest for 30, then burst another 45. Hockey players burst for 2-3 minutes, rest 2 shifts, then do it again. No comparison. However, that being said, yes, most football players are better athletes than most baseball players.

WTF It's my fault for not reading the whole thread to see what you are arguing, but I never mentioned football. I was shitting on baseball (for fun) and you come back with football. I agree with your statement even though I wasn't arguing against it. It's a silly statement, but right.

Basketball players half the the size of football players? I guess you mean half as fat... Plus pwncakes, as was already stated, the reverse is just as true. Basketball players would destroy football players in a game of basketball.
Each professional athlete is going to be best in their respective sport, that's why they play it in the first place.
And of course the ultimate group of sports for judging endurance and athleticism would be track and field events.We can do better.
