Re: LET'S-GO-RANGERS!!!
There's more to being a good athlete than just being fast or strong. Coordination and agility as well. Track and field athletes typically excel in one area, but not all. You may be able to run fast in a straight line or around a track, but try throwing in some quick direction changes, or have them run while fighting for the ball coming down to them.

Add for Soccer players they have to cover more ground over 45 minutes then a football player. And depending on their catching ability, many soccer players could probably play Cornerback or WR, Most (from what I have seen) are around 5'10-5'11, And quite a few that are 6'2+. Granted that won't stop people from incorrectly believing its only 5'4 midgets playing soccer

I cannont believe you guys are arguing about this. The only opinion anyone should be able to form is which sport they either like to play or watch better. Each sport has it's own requirements, hardly any can be compared to each other. I grew up in West Texas so I'm a big football fan, but I have mad respect for soccer players who run like non stop for an insane amount of time on a huge field. And they do tons of footwork. It's ridiculous. Baseball, I'll like never be able to hit a 90MPH fast ball, are you kidding me? I'd be scared for my life. Rugby I've never really watched. Hockey is crazy! And you're skating the whole time? Sheesh. Basketball, lots of agility, probably the closest to soccer than any other sport as far as endurance goes.
Come on, dudes, there's nothing to argue about here. It's all a matter of preference. I like to watch American football because I grew up playing it and it's HUGE where I live, but you have to be mature enough to respect the other sports too, even if they're uninteresting to you. Just because they don't interest you doesn't mean they suck. Grow up.

Exactly. The whole reason this started was because Red Lizard doesn't appreciate American Football. So lets all point the blame finger at him and go tell our teachers what he did wrong...that will get him in trouble. Every sport should be appreciated and respected because each one has its own set of skills that is needed to compete at such a high level.
