Tips and Tricks

Ok, so lets have this as the thread for tips and tricks people might not know.

Ok, first tip: Go open the options go to gameplay, under interface turn on elective mode, you now have way more customization on how you set up your character. For some reason this isn't on by default and is named so that if you don't read what all the things do in the options you'd probably miss this.

Second tip: To see in game framerate press Ctrl+R it's top right.

Tip the third: Same place as first tip, turn on advanced tool tips, it's right above elective mode.

Tip the forth: On change quest that big scary popup asking are you sure is only talking about your progress in your current quest.

To get the maximum amount of experience in fights.. there should get in the middle of a horde of bad guys and use a powerful area attack that will not only take out 10+ guys but give you at least 200+ xp for doing it...

Barbarian I would use the revenge attack and it would destroy a whole hell lot of people and stun the rest of them... Barbarian is more the killing the masses than killing bad guys one on one...

Witch Doctor dots can stack if you cast after your INT has changed. Example: Locust Swarm -> Soul Harvest -> Locust Swarm. That will get two different stacks of Locust Swarm ticking on the enemies. Another INT changing skill is the passive Gruesome Feast (adds int as you pickup health orbs). Other popular dots are Acid Cloud and Haunt.

Use Spirit Walk to escape being frozen/jailed/etc. It also makes you invincible while active.

All pets scale with your gear (though attack speed does not seem to affect them). They are dying too quick? Then get more armor and vit for yourself! Pets still die near instantly in higher difficulties, though.

Running into mana issues? Use a slow 2H weapon! Your spells will do the same damage over time, but you don't have to cast as often, which saves you mana.

Under Key Bindings there is a unbound key called move, if you think of normal left click as attack move from RTS games this would be the don't attack move.
