Planetary Annihilation
A new game by Uber Entertainment (the guys who made Monday Night Combat).
It is kind of a spiritual successor to 'Total Annihilation' and 'Supreme Commander'.
Battle on multiple planetary bodies, destructible planets/asteroids, thousands of units.
Looks really interesting to me, but their time table seems unrealistic. They want to release it in summer 2013.

Re: Planetary Annihilation
Populous 1 or 2? I played 2 way back when and loved it. Alot of time spent flattening your city and sabotaging theirs. Crazy fun god powers to. Im in on this, looks like it could be super fun, especially launching asteroids at planets
It looks like its taking alot from Supreme commander in the way of simplistic graphics with bright colors, letting it so older computers can play the game without making it look super old.

Re: Planetary Annihilation
They just announced that Alpha will be starting June 7. With 'full' release pushed back to December.
After watching their development since the kickstarter, I'm actually very impressed with the pace and what they've been able to make.Last edited by Blah64; 05-17-13 at 06:39 PM.

Re: Planetary Annihilation
Beta is being released today!
Includes Interplanetary warfare and strapping rockets to planets for 'planet crashing'
An interim build on Steam has already been accidentally released. It includes interplanetary stuff, but I couldn't find the planet rockets.

Re: Planetary Annihilation
As he said it isn't in alpha anymore, it is in beta. And the $90 price was in early alpha. They later lowered it to $70. With the release of beta, whenever it officially happens, the price will be set to $60 and once the game is released the price will be $40.
