Re: The WarZ
Once again someone has the nerve to post a very unenlightened comment about The WarZ. They never lied about the features they just weren't in the game yet. They made it pretty clear on their website what you were paying for and it is valves fault that the steam page also didn't make that clear. And by the way micro transactions are highly likely to be a part of DayZ SA.

Re: The WarZ
Source...it's not "unenlightened" when the various facts, statements, releases, interviews and apologies have all been fairly well reported. Nor is it "unenlightened" to feel that someone's business practices were (are?) less than upfront given all of the above.
Throwing forum darts at people because they have a different opinion than you do over a product you neither a) develop b) represent or c) are compensated by is unenlightened. I'm not going to get into a re-hash of the previous 4 pages of argument over WarZ or its developer's practices, pledges or promises. I'll note that you conveniently (?) ignored my pointed comments about this the last time this thread was "alive."
You can either:
1. Accept that people people have a differing opinion about something you like (otherwise Ford vs Chevy vs Dodge insanity arguments come to mind)
2. Choose to try and convince them otherwise (may be a tall order - but calling them "unenlightened" is a surefire way to fail at this option)
3. Ignore the comment completely and simply enjoy WarZ when it drops.
As for MT, there are many developers implementing MT in various forms. Tossing some allegation/rumor/assumption/opinion out about DayZ SA and MT as if that's going to prop up your point....is rather unconvincing. Diablo3, GW2, Tribes:Ascend , PS2, FireFall, etc etc etc all have MT in some form or fashion. Hell, BF3/CoD, etc etc could be considered to have MT if you bend the concept of DLC a little.
The point is that those companies have not suffered a public revolt as it relates to consumer satisfaction issues yet (ever?). Whether you like that or not is immaterial. The fact is that ^ makes a huge difference in how future statements are perceived by that same paying public.

Re: The WarZ
I didn't have the time to write out my points the way I wanted to but since I have talked about this subject at length I would say read those for better explanations. I have seen many games a lot of them games we all love to play launch exactly how WarZ did and I don't see anyone here blowing up over it. It is because DayZ and the fierce fan base that surrounds that game continually ragging on the game. I see no difference between the 2 in terms of the way they conducted their development and public testing. I have no intention to start an argument but it is ridiculous to say that WarZ is a bad game because it wasn't complete when you purchased Arma 2 to play DayZ and at the same time knowing it was an incomplete mod. Also excuse me if I seem harsh but it seems to me that I have been the one who has caught the most flack on this game for simply being a voice of logical reason.

Re: The WarZ
No I don't think anything of the sort. However those who are rabid fans of DayZ have influenced a lot of the opinions in this community and all I want to be is a voice of reasonable logic and try and show you an unbiased view point. I love DayZ and I actually prefer it even in its buggy state to WarZ but just because I am that way does not cloud me from seeing what's been presented in front of my eyes. WarZ is a great game and has only been improved since I last played so really it's up to your personal preference just as playing BF3 or PS2 would be. Same concept Imo.

Re: The WarZ
For the record: I do NOT own DayZ or Arma2 or the mods.
My observations are based on my own sense of propriety, fairness and ethics. So your critique is invalid as it relates to anyone who is not in your described group of DayZ owners or fans.
As for launch explosions, Vigo back and read the forum threads on BC2 and BF3. If those weren't incendiary then I don't know what is.

Re: The WarZ
Again, you are assuming that people here are not capable of formulating their own opinions. Furthermore, you are implying that I'm not capable of formulating my own opinion.
You do more than a few of us a disservice by discounting our arguments and hand-waving them away as some part of a DayZ themed fanboi cult.
