So of those playing or planning on playing who can explain to me the team/guild/pack/clan/etc function in some detail? And would there be interest in a MechWarrior group for TPG like that we've setup in Planet Side 2?

As far as I know that faction thing has not been implemented yet.

But we could just play together as a group.

I would like some of the TPG faithful who might have their ears a little closer to the ground in Mechwarrior to keep us posted on the faction aspects of the game and how that looks to shape up.

A TS channel would be a great start. I am growing tired of the lack of VOIP in games that advertise team based objectives.

I think most of us are. However, sadly we are in the minority in this regard.

The thing is that we used to have VOIP, it was basically standard on any game with multiplayer. But now it seems the trend is no VOIP. The console guys get VOIP, we should too. But on the topic of MWO, I think I finally got the hang of it so I spent some hard earned cash on it. Hopefully they will get the factions thing worked out soon enough. I guess technically this thing is still a beta so some lack of functionality may be expected.
