Warprosper just found out a workaround... Goto your router settings and enable dmz (de militarized zone). That seems to have fixed it for us.

Oh god, not this mess again...

First youre enabling DMZ, next thing you know youre forwarding every single port you can in order to try and get this game to play nicely. Borderlands is the gateway drug to open internet...

I have had a few minor lag spikes, and they have never happened while in a fight just while walking around. Super annoying of course but not that bad.

Yea it's a little ridiculous. For some reason the ports are not getting relayed from the lan side to the wan side. They can leave out on something and come back on something totally different. What's wrong with using just 1 port for the game instead of the 6 or so they have.

I did a TCP dump on the dmz setting and that's the only time that the source and destination ports matched. Prior to that they were translated to something else.

Also point to know, dmz your PCs IP address not your Mac address, for some reason that won't work?

Meh....It's mostly just a bunch of home made solo stuff, and they all end the same.....with Max crying, and apologizing to himself.
