Re: The War Z devs
I'm not trying to convince other people to like the game. That's like trying to convert a hard line Muslim into a Christian. I don't care if you like playing the game or not. What I care about are all the unfounded accusations people are making. It ridiculous some of the shit I have read on these forums and abroad about WarZ most of it being down right lies and rumors. The fact that Scion has the nerve to come on here and spread those lies without doing any follow up on them before opening his mouth is what has made me go over the edge here. All this stems for DayZ fanboys who can't stand the fact of someone copying DayZ. Rocket doesn't give a shit, Sergey doesn't give a shit, why should you.

Re: The War Z devs
All of those have nothing to do with the development of the game nor the game itself and how it plays. Valve took it off steam because they still haven't worked out a deal with Hammerpoint Interactive. Who knows why this is but enough is enough you can't know everything and why should you. The game is good anyone who doesn't like how it plays ok that's cool to each their own but don't write something off based on here say and rumors should find out for themselves before opening their mouths. It's just like the real world people question everything.

Re: The War Z devs
I'm not arguing. Merely pointing out that this much kerfuffle before the game is even released (and by the by the back and forth with the dev strikes me as shady/dishonest and that's my opinion) means it's unlikely to see support from me simply due to it feeling less than honest and forthcoming.
And the interview with Gamespy, here definitely set my "spidey senses" tingling.
Being in the software/it/dev/analysis side of things - we don't get to tell customers that there are things in our products which are, in fact, not there. Period. That's all there is to that. Stating that there were features included, that were not there, is a big deal for me (and others I am sure). If they're future features then say so clearly. Or....don't ever put future features onto a product delivery list....ever. You put them on that when they are done. Not before.
I'm not going to get into the alpha/foundation/whatever game as it smacks of semantics on the dev's part.
If you are playing and enjoying, by all means continue to do so. I doubt there's anyone here trying to stop you. They might simply be expressing their own opinion that they do not trust the dev studio (whichever one it is), much like there are thousands of people who don't trust EA/subsidiaries much anymore either. No difference.
We're all allowed our opinions. If those are backed by fact, so much the better.

Re: The War Z devs
I'll say this: FrankieonPcs overview of War Z was spot on. He argues this:
Forget the drama, what is the game like? Enter into the game with a neutral outlook. Too many reviewers jumped on the hate band wagon prior to the review. He plays the game, tells us its ok, but not great, but if this is how far that company came since their last game the futures bright for them.
