Re: The War Z devs
Trusting any mainstream media outlet is an outright travesty in this day and age. Just had to say that I don’t mean offense.
And Al I get get what you're saying and all but you can't judge them by those stories. It's true what they say for the most part but so what you know. I say I always must find out for myself what's reality and what's made up for the attention. I'm not sure anything Hammerpoint Interactive has done even compares to what EA and Activision have done to the gaming industry or for that matter the gaming community :P.

I remember seeing the steam page when they were selling it and I don't remember that it said it was alpha or beta?

Re: The War Z devs
And therein lies the "rub" as it were. I'm not attempting to measure Hammerpoint, or Artktos (or whichever company is holding the reins) against EA or it's practices. I drew a parallel between them as from a "damaged trust" perspective.
EA - I don't trust, after having a fairly long consumer relationship with them. Does that mean I avoid anything/everything EA? So far, it has been pretty complete in that regard. Does that mean forever? I sincerely hope that their practices improve because they are one of the largest, and therefore most influential, companies in the electronic entertainment business and that shows no sign of changing. So, I have to hope that they change otherwise they'll wind up damaging even more of the hobby that I enjoy.
Hammerpoint - my willingness to grant the benefit of the doubt has been lessened. First impressions are critical in all things, but especially if someone wants my money.

Re: The War Z devs
This is the steam purchase page which by all accounts cannot be considered an accurate description considering it's removal soon after. However you are right it said nowhere on the STEAM purchase page at which stage the game was at in development. The purchase page I am referring to and where most people have bought the game was on their website which properly described what you were buying on all the different price points. Further more as I understand it, it is not the responsibility of the dev team behind the game to program their own steam store page.

Re: The War Z devs
Yes I am because they did not do their due diligence in this matter. Are you under the impression that those features will not be a part of the game ever? Because that's not true the game is still in development and everything that's listed there will soon be a part of the game as so said by the devs. It will just take time. I see no need to fret about all that. As for the steam page once again Hammerpoint Interactive and valve are still working on that.
