There is not a large number of titles, comparatively, that are designed to support linux as far as I know.

I think you'll find that more developers will support Linux with Valve embracing Linux as a gaming platform. There's already hundreds of titles available on Linux. Lots of Linux support from the indy developers.

Not to mention there will be PC to SteamOS game streaming ( PC renders the game and it's displayed on your TV... similar to what nVidia Shield does).

It shall be called "The Steam Machine"!

If this turns out well Microsoft will never get another dime from me. Gaming is the only reason I still have a Windows machine at all.

Especially since steam has started supporting not just games recently, they have lots of program suites now as well.

Well, the third announcement was a bit of a let down. A controller... meh... I can hear the people pining for HL3 rage quitting the intarwebs as we speak.

I'm intrigued by how the trackpad left stick will be used for a WASD replacement. Is it going to be a constant distance from center for which keys it presses?

How about the mouse one? will I have to be lifting and moving my thumb to simulate mouse movements or will a constant amount of direction (dist from center) be used to determine how fast to move the mouse.....

What worries me is this new controller better not render other gamepads incompatible. I've got two pads that I'm very happy with, thank you very much.

If its not mimicking mouse movement its pointless.
