Re: Rust Council of TPG
This is kinda why I'd like to build a for show type base in the middle or close to a populated area or even close an area off, like waiving our big stick around. I'm tired of hearing these jokers brag. We can keep our main bases safe and away but when we get settled in again I vote we do something to make a presence on the server.

I don't know about yall, but I play games with TPG members so I don't get stabbed in the back. Aside the actual Soviet situation, hearing that some think it is ok that TPG members kill and betray other TPG members is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard...and it's coming from the people who 1) Don't even have the game 2) Have not put in endless hours farming and looting. Of course they say who cares if your fellow TPGer turned and shot you in the back.
I feel your pain guys who lost all your shit. Seems to me it's time to lock it down and start turning away and excluding fellow TPGers....only way you know you won't get fucked.
Post some more screenshots or even videos. Scott, your 8 person house looks badass.

Ah yes, rust is somehow totally different than say dayz, or really any other MMO where you can grind for days, weeks, months, or in some cases years for stuff only to have someone you know and trust steal or destroy it. Oh wait, it's not, and I said the same thing when virtually the same people were crying about sherriff in dayz. I don't necessarily approve of what soviet did, but if he were to do it to me I would get revenge in game, not cry on a forum about it.

^ What that asshole said.
I reiterate what I said earlier... If this is all new to you, you've never played a good pvp MMO. Some of my best times were in Everquest with inter-clan intrigue and such where EXACTLY the same things happened. Secret messages from other clans about a mole in our clan (which was WELL over 100 people at the time)... Our treasury fund emptied... A manhunt... political intrigue! AWESOMENESS.
Separate the game from TPG as an entity. Immediately. If you want to play pvp with the mmo boys... play it and keep your drama in-game and not try to wrap it all up into TPG's community. TPG community is not Rust's in-game community.

We've more or less settled it and come to our own conclusions days ago. I dont know why this is being dragged out by people on the forums who don't play.

Re: Rust Council of TPG
If we do something as large as and 8 x 8 footprint with entrances on all sides i think we need a pretty flat spot. To date, the flattest areas i have seen have been in hacker valley and the valley far to the west of big civilian.
Both sites are excellent in my opinion. Out in the open for all to see. But, the west valley is in easier reach of big civilian. Its about the same distance as hacker valley south to rad town, but you don't have to cross a mountain to get there.
Regardless... since it looks like the server got wiped, i will head east to our old temp base location and set up some furnaces for cooking and get harvesting. We are going into this with a plan. If we split into looters and builders, we can get something (metal) up quickly.
