I keep getting eaten and killed trying to gather my resources. Everyone else seems to be gathering stuff alot quicker so if all the rooms get filled by people who gather theirs first I'll do the same

People, its like the African plains out there. Take as little as you need. Always be looking all around mostly when you are collecting something, rocks, wood, cloth, or zed drop. I can't tell you how many people I killed who simply were running right to a rock and not looking at me coming in on there left in clear view if they would have put their head on swivel. Use the mountains to escape trackers. Don't go direct path home unless you know for certain know your not being followed.

This is your chance to live in the walking dead world. Keep you wits about you, I cross the entire maps multiple times without getting dropped to come back with loads of gear.

It's the whole KOS griefers that put me off most...

Though the multiple wipes in the last week haven't helped my view a whole lot. I had a pretty good starter stash on friday and I guess it got wiped again that day.

Found a laser sight in a crate last night in a heavy radiation zone.

Kanati your welcome on to join the temple and get set up while you learn the game. Target moved in for such a reason. All that you accomplish alone is only made easier when working with the group.

I am going to play nice but remain on my own. For now.

My biggest problem thus far has been food. I've only been able to run down pigs and usually I'm trying to do so while dodging bears and wolves.

And occasionally a super-zombie that seems to run just as fast as I do...

HOPING I can find my hut again after respawning... I didn't have a sleeping bag so I am hoping I spawn somewhere I recognize so I don't lose that laser sight. I don't know how rare that is but it's the first one I ran across.

Turn off the grass, kill a pig or two, build a bow and some arrows, and you can kill wolves 2, bears 4 and zombies 1. Cook during the day unless you are dying of hunger at night. Stay clear of radiation areas. Harvest some rocks and make a revolver, they use 9mm and it has little to no weapon sway. It's not a bad gun to use and easy to replace.

odd. I did change my name on steam though... thought I heard where you lose everything if you change your name...
