I don't get Steam. I had to use it when I played FEAR 2 years ago and never really messed with it since then.

Oh, and Skyrim isn't bad, but I much prefer Dark Souls. The combat is loads better.

Dark Souls blows without a controller. I have it, but my son broke my controller a while ago and haven't gotten a new one to play it with. Tried it w/ mouse and keyboard and came close to breaking those on my own.

yeah skyrim was fun but im looking for an online rpg if its single player it never holds much replay value for me

Dark Souls and Path of Exile are good MP's out of what I've mentioned. Torchlight 2 has MP too...I co-oped with some friends, but can't remember if they had lobby's as well ala D2. Could also try something like Guild Wars 2. I would also consider Borderlands 2 an action RPG if you haven't played that...another fantastic game.

If you like D&D Neverwinter is a free to play mmo...I played it in early beta and thought it had potential but I haven't played it in quite some time.

Wargame Airland Battle and the upcoming red dragon.
Men of War Assault Squad is also a good game. Assault squad two is coming out February but has some fishy sounding features, they are also working on a modern day Men of War style game called A Call to Arms but no one knows when that's coming out.
Both of the series of pretty niche though.

Wargame is great. A little bit of a learning curve but it can be rewarding if you plan your battles out
