I was sanctioned FROM Dashki, because I sent him a message on steam telling him we were in need of some admins for ARMA and DAYZ who knew how to set up servers, if they would be willing to come over here and help, as well as bring over some members.
Thought we were cool, apparently, not.

The Admin team over there is not very well put together. The have a total of like 20 admins that play together on one server. They hardly ever talk in a group about any one topic and They trust the admins/mods less than they trust random connects.
I can understand why they are quitting, I cannot understand why they are still running it like they aren't quitting....
my 2 cents.

After playing on their servers for some time I have to say they knew their shit pretty well. However they did seem to want to do things their own way no matter what anyone else thought. Like that time they were willing to risk it all for a for the lack of a better word technically illegal SA server. Sometimes they made sense and others they just plain didn't and this is when they just plain don't make sense. To me at least.

I think our highs should be talking with the folks that run things over there. Looking into the potential for an official transfer or merger into or onto our systems. Similar to how things went with the l4d series. Offer some kind of merger (whatever the needs or desires from both sides are) to relocate their community here. Merge existing forums, establish or extend their servers on our system.
This allows them to somewhat keep things rolling but moves everything here. More bodies in all respects on our existing infrastructure. Great for all the games we support and a nice boost to our forums.
Sure we can just post on their forums and maybe you get some people to come over, but if there was something more significant in place the benefits would be far better. They have some exceptionally talented staff (coding..especially in the arma series) and strong relationships with modding communities (ex. zombies.nu).
A more formal arrangement made by our highs is how we really capture this gaming community. Just my opinion.

A possibly good Idea, maybe. A huge Headache Definitely.
The Donation VIP perks are a Headache alone. Not to mention the lackadaisical stance on Admin/moderating.
But give it a shot, sure.Last edited by SmokenScion; 02-18-14 at 02:35 PM.
