It's been a ton of fun over these last couple years and I met a lot of cool people. I think it's time to put everything to rest, and I don't view the shutdown as a bad thing. We didn't run out of server money or anything like that, but I'm ready to move on. The TS server is going to remain online for those who wish to use it, since it's licensed for the full year. I also may end up running a US DayZero server over at zombies.nu -- the Arma 3 Wasteland server might retain under that name as well.

This would be where I'd start. This addresses Peep's underlying desires to keep the forums rolling and US DayZ and Arma3 Wasteland servers going. It allows him to pull back in responsibility and through his connects links us with zombies NU. We have a history of activity in Dayz and Arma 3 it's an obvious fit.

Then PM Nuck or Hub instead of hoping they see this as they are the most knowledgeable in regards to RUST, DayZ, ARMA, and BMRF. I could send BD a PM, but it would consist of "talk to Kraker about this...", so trying to help you out here.

I'll work up a pm and add you guys to it.

timeline as it sits:

Feb 15th - BMRF announces closure
Feb 18th - (today)
Mar 5th - BMRF servers and forums go down.

My point being -> 15 days to make arrangements if we are going to do anything.

The post states that some of their servers will be moving to other hosts, as well as some of their "admins". Peep also states that he may open things back up later if something else catches his interest, so not sure if they would be willing to do a merger a la L4DF, but worth asking.

I understand this. But what they are talking about there is a small fraction of the whole.

Zombies nu (is overseas - no us presence), and as some people are looking to keep individual servers alive we could offer the framework, home and community to do so. We would pick and choose which games, how many server etc would be hosted based on what works for us. Even if we just brought over the Rust, bf4, arma 3 group. which is what we are already hosting.

I mean geez the worst thing that could happen would be them saying no thanks. We sound like a bunch of nervous school girls.
