Insurgency...The new CS?

Um, played for 10 mins....HOLY SHIT this game is intense and deep. Joined 2 different servers, everyone talked and teamplayed. Yes, we need to host this. Great game guys....let's get behind it.

We hosted the mod years back, and if I remember it flopped. Hell, the only servers we have now that are consistently full is, BF4.

According to Steam, it isn't even in their top 100 list, I could be wrong (I checked three times.)

I'm not saying the game is bad, but the playerbase isn't big, yet.

That's why we need to jump on now, the game released 3 weeks ago.

And don't base anything of hosting the mod. That's like saying "yea, we hosted CS 1.3, but when source came out, we decided not to"

If we still have a DOD:S server, there is no reason we can't try out insurgency.

Real simple. Doesn't cost us anything to host it. As long as we don't get the infamous $%@#$% lag we were getting with CSGO that is. So... that's why I propped up a server. It's labeled (TEST) because we have no idea what settings we want to run yet so... figure that out and let me know.

The server did not appear in the browser when I tried it earlier. And I forgot to try connecting through console.

and if you can't connect, join a couple other servers and see what settings people are playing and figure out what we need to set ours to

From what I gathered tonight, mix modes is the best way to go. Splitfire, VIP seemed to be popular. All game modes are fun, and really take a SHIT ton of teamwork. IF we had all the CS community come back, this game would be huge.

It wasn't that great back then either, it wasn't bad but had (imo) issues. No idea how it is now but being it's gone from fairly new to years as a mod and now standalone, has to have made some decent progress *shrugs*
