That doesn't excuse the fact that they lied and went against what they said they would do and made the game pay to win. Hell not even DayZ SA has gone that far. It maybe an alright game in terms of the mechanics and the ideas they have but this fact alone is enough for me to stay away from it.

I see what you're saying, but I don't think the model they're using is a direct pay to win scenario. It's not like they're handing SOE 15 bucks for a gun put directly into your inventory. They're handing SOE $$ for the chance to get a gun, and in doing so, others also get that chance. I don't see how this relates to anything like a direct purchase of content.

Isn't that kinda arguing semantics though. You are paying real money for ingame items what difference does it make if it's a gun or a bag of chips.

eff this game.

all it will do is pull from our a3 epoch server pop.

I bought this in anticipation of a large group of TPG'rs playing but I am quite content, happy even, with Arma 3/EPOCH/OVERPOCH/ETC. I will keep this on the far radar in case things get interesting but for the forseeable future its about Arma 3 and our Epoch server for me.

I like it so far.

Love how we live in a Fucking ungrateful world where people who didn't read Bitch about a free game.

So far I have not experienced any sort of difference or advantage in game play based on this supposed pay-to-win gameplay model after putting in hours on a high population server.
