I like the maps that not everyone already knows the strategy to to get every can in the fastest time because these people are only capable of playing the same three, easy maps all the time (Mall, Motel, Rooftop). Honestly, those maps are jokes. Against an actual good team of four Scavenge players who know what they're doing that have green bar, an Infected team will only get 3-4 attacks in in those maps. Everyone knows the easy strategies for those lame maps, and all three of them have only like 2 or 3 tiny areas of the map where the Survivors are out of line of sight and you can't clear them instantly from across the map with an AK or Scar.
People usually avoid maps where it actually takes skill and teamwork to get every can (Brick Factory, Riverbank, Barge, Apartments, Port) since almost every can in those maps is out of line of sight.
Mall Atrium: One person pour at car, two run around second/third floor on opposite sides throwing cans down, one person stand on staircase spawnblocking and ready to clear if two up top get 2 secured. Boring map against people who actually know how to spawnblock and clear each other.
Motel: Everyone goes to high way to bring back 4 cans, that's one attack. Everyone goes to sign and bring back 5 cans while the Infected either attack on top of the Motel or at the generator, where a good, albeit annoying survivor will be standing on the fence spawnblocking, ready to clear instantly. Clear Motel cans, that's like 2 attacks. Boring map where honestly the ONLY area you can't actually clear someone with a SCAR/hunting rifle is at the Highway at the farthest 2 cans if someone smokes the Survivor out of line of sight.
Rooftop: Everyone plays this way too much and yet I've only seen maybe 4 players who are actually good at it. Why do NO teams use the plethora of adrenaline shots in this map, where those are way more desirable on Rooftop than any other.

I actually started tolerating Brick Factory (I used to *hate* it) and Apartments is pretty damn cool. Port's alright, but it's hard to find people who know the layout well enough and many people don't know really good SI vantage points except for the rooftops close to the generator or inside a building with gas cans where you can spawn and then ambush survivors.
I used to hate the Barge. I couldn't stand it. Then I started trying to play it... and then I realized it takes like twenty years because the map is so freaking huge - even juggling the cans doesn't save a whole lot of time. There are very, very few people who can even juggle the cans in an adequate amount of time so as to prevent the timer from reaching 00:00. (I'm not one of those people)
And no one likes the layout of the Riverbank.
There is a very, very small handful of people who can do decently at these maps, and then there is a handful of people who happen to have the DLC but whom despise playing these maps. There's not really many (or any?) at all who are more balanced in skill - either you have the group of people who juggle cans and kick a$$ at the lesser-played maps, or you have a group of people who suck and need to be carried.
So another reason why no one likes playing those DLC is because there's no balance [in skill].
(Btw, I count myself as a person who gets carried in those maps. I can juggle cans in some of those maps, but I generally end up being carried.)
