Super Mario: Galaxy

Please...juvenile...Nintendo revolutionized the way we play games, and Mario kinda started it all.

Anwys, I heard it was pretty damn good. I haven't got it yet but I plan on it. I heard it was like what Twilight Princess did for the Zelda series, going back to the good old days where Link was a boy\man and Gannon is the bad guy. YAY, although the boss battle wasn't very long, slightly disappointed.

It'll boil down to getting Mario Galaxy now or saving my money for SSBB. Which looks just as kick ass. :9

Yea, i basically bought the Wii for those few titles out there: Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros. And I'm not dissapointed at all with what I got back.

And no, mario is not overhyped, Halo 3 was (loved the game, but it's not amazing). And how could he be a gay plumber, cause I think the only think he's laying pipe in is Princess Peach.

Man, it is a very solid platformer. Judging by your post, it doesn't seem like you've even given Mario a chance. Were you born after the 90's?

Side scrolling games are gone, as that would mean 2D games and they are gone for the most part as well. I was sad when I heard Metriod was going to be an FPS, and I didn't like the idea at first, but it's still a great series.

The same is true of Mario, not what it was, but it's still great. Mario 64 was awesome, Mario Sunshine for the GC was pretty lame, but Galaxies from what I've seen of it so far is pretty good, close to what Mario 64 was.
