Budget man, it's all about the budget. I don't mind trying new games and all, but when I'm on a budget I'll usually stick to something I know I'll enjoy. If I can find it fairly cheap (ie $10-$20) though I might try it at some point.
I always thought the C&C games were great for strategy, especially the single player campaigns when you have limited resources.
Then again, yeah you could always just horde the enemy to win, but where's the fun in that?

Exactly! That's my point dude! All you really ahve to do is blob/horde a bunch of the same unit and charge in. You dont think of cover, troops that support other units on so on. In COH:OF (WWIIstyle) if you just spam on unit, you'll get rocked. It's so diverse and the number or limit of strategies is virtually endless. Give a try when you get some cash flow, but be warned it's fucking addicting.
