This game rocked! Like Gumby said the learning curve was a bit more than the BF games (and BF kinda used a lot of gameplay elements that were first tested in tribes) but once you had it, you were competing in a furious fire-filled frenzy that left you stressed when you were done. About the only thing it lacked was a solid server where people played as a team...

ok, I have a server up with the alternate master server.
I just need to know if anyone using that patch can see my server on the list. It should be the only one there. I can see it as up and recieving info requests from the alternate master server. Dont bother trying to play on it though, My dsl connection from Germany will not be exactly optimal lol

Hey you guys, this game was made by a company in my home town: Euegene, Oregon. I know most of the development staff and I will let them know about the tribes revival going on here; I know they will appreciate it. I played the hell out of this game...

The server is going to be more difficult to set up that I had at first realized. I need someone to see if the test server shows on the alternate master server list. If that goes well, we can proceed from there, but it will not be easy. Old games are not easy to host.

Okay, do you have a ZIP. file that has the full game in it without a full installer? I have a mac and it says its for mac but... I cant find it anywhere!!!

sorry, firework. The only installer I have is the one that I linked to. I do not believe they ever released the Mac version for free.

Im a old Contruction/War mod-2001-5 Vet

Loved the game, if T3 had kept the decent aspect to it it would be the only game played.

I have made quite a few mods for the game varying from gui modifications to graphic alterations which improve the visual aspect of the game. I only hope i did not delete them

I do have the open source for the War 2003 mod i belive (will have to look) again i hope i did not delete them it has been so long.

I would love to help you with this, toss me what you have and lets get started ill pm you my cell # if you want.

I love tribes 2 and want to see this succeed as much as you do!

I deleted all my tribes 2 stuff except a nice little backup cd i found that i made a while ago.

Though it does not have all my gui mods and such it does have some major texture altercations i did (changed 70% of t2 textures to high rez ones) as well as the source for war2003 server! AND (as if it could get any better) i have the TRICON2 Server and client scripts (like mani except for t2)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

ok, Bunni has confirmed that the alternate server thingy works.
Next step is getting hosted. I am working on that and will update here asap

Well, here is the quick story on hosting.

No serious host will touch this thing.
Thank you all for your interest in this project. I was very surprised and pleased at how many people said they would play on it. But this project is dead and closed. Much like Tribes2.
