Did you play Unreal Tournament 2004?
Im just curious... i was addicted to the UT series.. especially UT2k4.. and played competitivly for a long time in many gametypes. I know a couple others... like Bunni (aka phat) who i played with on several clans for several years. But im curious to find out if there were any others who played here in the TTP world.. and who you were.
To curious for my own damn good i know... :10
So if you played UT2k4.. post up who you played as.. what teams you played on... and in what gametypes... and any other info you feel inclined to share. Perhaps i knew you... as a friend or an enemy

Re: Did you play Unreal Tournament 2004?
Oh yeah, played the shit out of UT2k4, but never competitively. Most of my time was spent playing in a LAN with some guys from high school (UT2k4 definitely hurt our final GPAs :P), so I never had to go through the hassle of finding a good, low-ping server I liked.
Game mode we used most frequently was Bombing Run, followed by Double Domination - BR-Disclosure and DOM-Atlantis ftw. Instagib CTF with zoom rifles, quad jump, and low gravity mutators on a large, open map like CTF-GrassyKnoll or CTF-MoonDragon was also a crowd pleaser - midair sniper duels
Most frequently used the Shock Rifle and Flak Cannon, though I dabbled with the Biorifle (damn thing was stupidly good once you learned how to aim it right) and Lightning Gun. Never did like the Rocket Launcher; just preferred to snipe with a Shock Rifle or juggle with a Flak Cannon.

I never played competetively, I liked to sharpen my skills on the average server.
My main gametype was Invasion, paired with UT2004RPG and Invasion RPG. Requires a lot of teamwork to pull that gametype and mutators off. Think of your weapons specialist as the Heavy from TF2, except when he hits someone he gets healed, and your medical specialist as the Medic from TF2. The two have to always be working in conjunction to ensure that neither dies. Adrenaline specialists (or as Unreal Insanity, my first group that I joined, called them "adrenaline junkies") really just sat around, collecting as much adrenaline as possible, then joining in the later rounds and destroying everything while running around invincible with a lightning rod hitting 50 monsters at a time.
God that game stole so many weeks of my life."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."
