Bad Company Demo for PS3

I was wondering if any one has downloaded the bad company demo for the PS3, I was wanting to know if you can play this game with a keyboard and mouse on the Playstation. It has to be one of the toughest things to do, use the game pad for a first person shooter. Am not sure when it happend, but at one time or another that is all I used to use was a game pad, ever since BF2 on the PC two years ago, I can't seem to use that damn game pad any more. Does any body else ever feel that way.

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean. Playing HALO on the Xbox now is nearly impossible for me after having played it on the PC with a mouse. I was always curious about that Shadowrun game that let live Gold members on the PC play against Xbox players, although not curious enough to spend $50.

I have downloaded and played the demo and will purchase the game when it is released. I play on game pad though.

It isn't even up to battlefield 2 standards, the squad config isn't too clear to me, ps3 voip is a pain and isn't near as clean as the PC.

It gives me a chance to play battlefield with my best friend though so I like it.

Plus walking on the field day one you are bad ass from the previous experience with bf2.

It has some cool aspects, anyone can climb on an arty piece and fire it.

damn i might have to get it on 360 to play with my friend, although I own a ps3.

shit shit shit.

This battlefield looks sick though, Ive played the demo on my ps3 a few times, and the beta on my 360, while lag was present most of the time, i liked the game alot.

And let me say, that this is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY , better than that atrocity that is battlefield 2 modern combat for the consoles, (bf2 for pc was an instant classic.)

Dice has redeemed themself i guess?

I hear you on that one. I go from being a solid player to a complete newb when I lay aside my mouse and keyboard. This has really locked me out of all the console shooters. One thing I notice is the console shooters are much slower paced (play Halo and then play CS -- the Master Chief moves like an octogenarian) and the engagement distances are much shorter (in the demo to Bad Company you were never more than 20 feet or so from the enemy when they popped out). This is to compensate for the poorer control you have with the thumb sticks.

you can (and i have in the past) hook up a kb and mouse to the ps3, not sure if it can be used in games but i did install ubuntu onto my ps3 and navigated with mouse and kb
