Thread: Anyone still play BF1942?

I just installed it for the first time in years... version 1.6.101 which is I think the latest...

I played a few rounds and went to join a different server... hit update on the server list (600+ servers last I looked) and nothing... It won't update the list at all now. And it fails to join any server that I plop in an IP / Port for...

Firewall is off. AV is off. AM is off. Running it as admin (vista 64 ultimate)...

Short of reinstalling I don't know what to try here.

I have the same problems with connecting to servers as you, I cant. ive tried many times, and it never works. i dont know how to fix it at all...

wound up being the firewall after all... I had it off, but didn't disable it entirely. Disabled, rebooted, and it's good to go now.
