    Re: Prototype, a glowing recommendation

my bro got it on his steam account and i sunk quite a few hours into it in offline mode on my pc, it's pretty fun to pick up and play once in a while but I usualy play games for the storylines only, so once I beat the main game (about 2-3 days worth of playing at around 3-4 hours total a day, while doing lots of side stuff) I haven't really played it since except to try out the harder difficulty, The mouse and keyboard controls seem fine to me.

All in all I can agree with penny arcade on this one, This game is simply amazing, and it destroyed Infamous.

Lol you are one of the people still comparing the two? Infamous and prototype stop similarities after open world + powers.

Prototype is more hack and slash destruction, and infamous is a more REFINED game with better story and more production value.

prototype has a very high story layer in the web of intrigue targets, compared to say infamous which i suppose has the same story values, but you saying that infamous has a better story is nothing more then your opinion as was my comment about prototype being better, the only person who can truly decide whether this is worth getting or not, is the individual in question. But yes in my opinion prototype was the better game for me and I would preach my opinion to others, that doesn't make infamous bad or worse by their standards, it's only a word of mouth advertisement in favour of prototype.

    Re: Prototype, a glowing recommendation

Yahtzee stacked Prototype up against Infamous and said they were about even. He also said Infamous was a lot of fun (in his own little way), so that presumably means Prototype is a lot of fun, too.

I don't own any console except for a wii so I had to get this on PC. All the recommendations I saw said th mouse+keyboard doesn't work well because of all the key combinations you need to make to play. I have to agree, I am buying a 360 controller today.

What kind of fucked reviews did you read? All the controls work GREAT for me....?

To each his own, I suppose.

Eh, I've used both, and there are certain things that you can't do or are just more difficult than they need to be on a mouse+keyboard. I'm usually the first to tout the good ol' M+K, but using a 360 controller makes things so much nicer.
