I really hope that the initial release isn't quite as buggy as Empire, but I don't think that they would make the same mistakes twice.

Should be the same engine with it coming out so quickly so it should be pretty well polished. This is the Total War game I have wanted since Shogun Total War

It's a bit too early to be a separate game i think, but then again a bit too much for just an expansion. Maybe they just did what ODST did and made a different game using same engine? I don't know, but i'm more inclined to purchase this one than Empire

Empire was my first total war experience. I tried for about 5 hours and gave up, I'll have to go back to it and see if it feels any better.

Try it again now that it has been patched a number of times. They improved a lot of stuff in the patches.
