    Re: Fifa 10

Dunno about the best game ever made, but definitely the best damn football game ever made.

Last night a buddy and I had our traditional yearly FIFA rivalry match. We'd buy a bunch of beer, some whiskey, and play Chelsea vs Man U into the wee hours of the morning (playing with normal game speed, ie, 90 real minutes + injury time per game). When the sun starts coming up, we tally up the wins for each team, with the loser having to do something like shave his head or something (this year it was paint his fingernails pink for his next day at work).

I'm happy to say tomorrow my fingernails will be entirely free of pink paint. U-N-I-T-E-D!

So is someone going to actually explain why this game is good or bad? Or anything about its game play?

    If not, GO ARSENAL! A-R-S-E-N-A-L!

    Re: Fifa 10

Well, the major change is in the way your players move and control the ball. First starters, movement is now truly analog, meaning no more having to zig-zag around the field, as the previous FIFA games used 8-way movement. First touch is much better, as is the ball handling (*brief pause to let everyone stop snickering*). Goalie and player AI in general is greatly improved, and you no longer have to hold its hand to get your star forward into proper position for a cross. The graphics are fantastic, the animations are extremely smooth and flow easily from one action to another with no strange jerking or glitching, and the commentating by Gray and Tyler is top notch. It's by far the most realistic football simulation I've played, and I've been playing a lot of them over the years (Winning Eleven, Pro Evo, FIFA, FIFA World Cup, etc.,).

from what i've heard on other forums, the ball is more realistic as well and supposedly they added more weight to it to make it well more realistic then in 09 (which i believe, but don't remember, makes every long shot not have to be either weak as fuck or see the ball go flying to the moon)

    Re: Fifa 10

I played fifa 08 on 360 for several months and picked up 10 on halloween, I love it. As others have said the player AI is greatly improved (especially on defense, my pet peeve from 08). I play on a samsung 7-series and it's gorgeous.

The blew my mind was when the randomized weather gave me a rainy pitch. Realistic splahes during slide tackles and other movements, ball skipping over the water on flat shots and accurate water response/friction from tap-ons.

I tried to make a custom corner set piece but I think I need more pratice because the players also recorded my spinning around in place before running their route! haha. Can't wait to get these to work in xbl matches.
