I am not doing any more fucking retarded ass shit to my computer just to get this game to work how it is supposed to.
I should not have to go in and do these things to my computer, especially when Gearbox themselves have given no official solution or workaround to this problem, and until then I am not going to do any more crap to my system that can potentially make it vulnerable, and I am not going to install 3rd party software that will "maybe" fix the problem anymore.
If I was an average gamer, or someone just getting into gaming, who would most likely not know how to do all this crap to their computer and router, I would have DEMANDED a refund from Gearbox or Steam because of the fact that my game doesn't work as advertised. A game should by no means not work without a bunch of configuring special things on your computer or router or installing a bunch of special software that is not even included with the games install. It's bullshit and if I was that average gamer or new gamer I would never touch the game again or wait till it is patched, which at this point looks like will be the same as not touching it again because Gearbox is ignoring everything about the port issues.
My arguments are completely valid here, show me where they are not if you really think I am just blowing air out my hole.

I agree with you DancingCorpse . Why this game doesn't do co-op right out of the box is beyond me. I shouldn't' have to do a thing to my PC to get the full features of this game. I don't even like that you have to have a GameSpy account to do co-op.
Thankfully I got co-op to work by doing the port-forwarding thing. But I know there are others like you (2 out of the 4 guys I normally game with) that couldn't get it to work no matter what they tried.

As much as people should realize that HOSTING a game, is just that.... people need to be able to connect to YOUR game, so of course, there will sometimes be issues in doing so.

Has anyone else had issues with the dynamic shadows after the update? My game updated via Steam and now I'm having trouble with the shadows. They go all across the screen in horizontal bands. Very annoying. When I turn off dynamic shadows the game works better/looks better but it's still kind of buggy... Any advice?
