Oh yeah, my new favorite map settings:
Random Script Map
Creation Script: Terra
Exclude: Pangea
Exclude: Fractal

Makes a Terra like map with a nice smattering of islands and varied terrain, but with the players distributed on BOTH continents. No new world...
