    Bioshock Infinite!

Anyone else hear about this game? Sounds like a pretty sweet take on the franchise. Rapture was perfectly set in the first game, hopefully they can capture the feel they were able to give in the first game.

Here's a link to the article I found about it:
    http://www.giantbomb.com/news/irrati...infinite/2425/

    A few excerpts from it:
BioShock Infinite couldn't be farther from the underwater city of Rapture. BioShock Infinite takes place in 1912, on top the floating city of Columbia, a steampunk-looking sky city complete with blimps and floating balloons. Players will take the role of Booker DeWitt, a disgraced Pinkerton agent (a turn-of-the-century detective and protection agency) sent up to Columbia to rescue a girl named Elizabeth from the floating city.
Woot for Steam Punk! I've always liked the idea of floating cities and air-ship battles. This looks like a completely new direction for the franchise which most developers are too afraid to steer from the original ideas these days. could be cool; I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

    Re: Bioshock Infinite!

Interesting concept. Columbia doesn't feel nearly as dark and deserted as Rapture was, though - I guess it's because you can see blue skies and clouds and stuff instead of oppressive dark, cold water around you.

Hopefully it follows more of Bioshock than Bioshock 2, and incorporates more RPG elements than Bioshock did. But since it's probably going to be co-released for consoles, it probably won't

I like the concept they're following with the new Big Daddies, apparently being robots powered by human parts (that appeared to be a human heart in the glass bowl.) I don't know if it's as depraved and saddening as the original Big Daddies, but it's something interesting to say the least.

Still think New York 10,000 leagues under the sea is a cooler concept than New York 20,000 feet in the air.

Im puzzled .... this bioshock doesn't look like its developing anything new.... crazy man decides to build a city in the air people become corrupt and or killed....city is ghosttown run by big daddies and now you got to find a way to save the city or save your self and get to solid ground.... Sorry.... but only thing different is the floating city nothing new is developed.... I'll wait but I'm not sure about this game....

And Bioshock was basically a steampunk version of System Shock 2 that was underwater. And yet it was still a very enjoyable game with one of the best damn plot twists in gaming history.

    What's your point?
