Steam To Introduce Digital Trade-Ins?

Apparently Steam is considering a form of digitally trading in your games.....

I may never buy a boxed game again...

Hmmmm...

I don't really regret buying anything except L4D1 & 2.....

I kind of regretted getting Blood Bowl, but that is only because I don't want to take the time to learn how to play it.

Oh, I wonder what kind of effect this would have on Steam sales, and how they will handle games you bought on sale.

Oh, and APB. So fucking pissed, $50 for a game that lasted all of 2 months, that game was good, but unplayable for me (yet I could play fucking Crysis on full settings). I bet that is one of the games that got them really thinking on this.

That's what I'm thinking. Do they sell your traded games at a discount to other customers? How is that going to work? They don't get wear and tear like a brick and mortar bought game.

Yeah, they can't exactly recycle the old Serial Codes since you can access those straight from the Steam Interface.

To me, this sounds like they could only lose money, I don't see where can actually make money back doing this...
