10 Best Moments in Pro Video Game History

Title of the thread says it all. Saw this article on Kotaku and thought I'd pass it along.

Being a big fan of FPS, RTS, and Fighter games, I love the list they compiled.

If you haven't seen #1 yet, you really need to. It's definitely the most hype moment to ever happen in professional gaming in my opinion. EVO 2011 is just around the corner, so I would suggest you all tune in

(For people who haven't played the game, in order to parry Chun Li's super, you need to press forward at precisely the moment her attack will hit. If you press too early, or too late, you are going to get hit, and you must parry every single attack individually)

Enjoy, and post links to your favorite professional gaming moments if any come to mind!

The only thing I can really disagree with here is having that particular x3 vs nip match. There have been several more cs matches that were far more epic than that match...even other matches between those 2 teams. I feel nerdy after reading that. I watched 2 of these live in person and 2 others live online. I would pick probably 5 other matches above that one between CS 1.6 and source. OTOH that was kinda the Dawn of intercontinental CS LANs so I can see why it's there. I can't comment on the street fighter matches because I don't and never have followed it. THe warcraft 3 and SC matches were all very epic...I remember watching the replays for a couple of them.

One of the best things I've seen was in 1.6.....A CT jumped in front of his teammate to take a AWP hit. You don't see that very often.

Didn't the AWP go through people in CS?

Also was watching this last night and figured this would be a good place to post.

This was the most exciting game I've watched at least.

Combofiend is a beast, but i've seen more exciting games from him when MvC3 originally launched.

I watched the top 10 thing, and I couldn't comment on the RTS stuff as it isn't my gig, but most of the fps / fighter was pretty spot on because of their timing, not because of their overall import. I've seen tons of crazy comebacks in Quake and Street Fighter (MvC, CvSnk, etc.) history. It's one of the things that keeps my interest as a spectator, if not a competitor.
