Thread: Damn you Notch!!!

He says that 1.9 could be out as early as tomorrow (9/22). That will of course break EVERYTHING that I spent far too much time on fixing and finally got working correctly last night.

Dunno, why hed' release it so early... wouldnt have been much point of breaking the adventure update into two parts if there would have only been a few days inbetween...

Wow I doubt its true. How could it be ready so early?

Yea this is really confusing. But if they did manage to finish it properly i'm excited that it's so soon.

1.9 "leak" just like they did with 1.8. Out right now. And he's splitting it up again. There will be a 1.10 out with more adventure stuff before the "final" in november.

FAIR WARNING. I'm NOT updating the server until A) it's an official 1.9 and B) bukkit is updated to 1.9 as well. If you update your client you might not be able to connect to the server.

i'd rather he update frequently rather than taking say... EA's approch with one massive fucking patch every 6-14 months....

On a side note, skills and bosses, WOOT! Hopefully one of those skills will make mining quicker, coal, red stone, and obsidian are obnoxious.

If it didn't break all the plugins every time he updated I wouldn't care if he updated daily. But it breaks EVERYTHING, and the world that's already been explored doesn't change to reflect new additions either. So the villages for instance that we have found on the new world will not have NPCs when 1.9 and 1.10 comes out. So effectively the update isn't for our world at all unless we start over AGAIN. He just poorly thinks these things out.

But I will agree that I like where the game is going.

We haven't started too much in the new world. We can just have it as "in-flux" for now. As in not a permanent world for the next few patches, or something. I don't know.
