Should I buy MW3?

But I'm honestly contemplating it. Not for the PC, but the consoles. The main reason I'm even pondering getting it is because of the fact that a lot of my friends are going to be playing and I just want to show them that COD is for noobs, that and to play with them too. I have about $75 coming in this Friday and I was debating it for the PS3.

Bottom Line:
So, for the sake of owning noobs to boost self esteem, or just and to see the opinions of TPG-ers who have the game or just want to rant. SHOULD I GET IT?

Well, my 7 year old is practically begging me to get it for PS3 if that tells you the crowd you will be playing with/against.

THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN SAYING! I do like Battlefield, but I think playing that game and just that game alone wears out the fun. But I dunno is it worth it? From what I've seen, not quite to justify the cost. Maybe $40-$50 but defiantly not $60. Lol, but if that was supposed to be an insult, good punch sir. Good punch.

I won't buy any big hit MP title that I know TPG won't/can't host...that, and I think the game is gonna suck. It does look nice, though. I'm waiting for CS:GO.

I've been pondering that myself. I have loved and owned every CoD title up through MW2 and wondered if MW3 was worth it since I hear it finishes up the story. I will probably end up getting it for 360 but not until down the road most likely.

Jeff Gerstmann at Giantbomb has given the most thorough MW3 review I have seen and I think he puts it nicely. Here is the video review.

I rented it for campaign. I may play a tad of online but its basically the same shit over again except now you get hybrid scopes.

I bought it...my dad and sister each pitched in $20, since they will be playing it far more then I

I will play through campaign(3 more missions till I beat it on Vet) then maybe max out rank in multiplayer, then I'm done. but my sister and dad combined should get several prestiges, LOL

So far the campaign is nothing special, same old. Multiplayer, killstreaks are much better...gun sounds are completely different then past games, there seems to be a bit more recoil but that might just be me

Other then that...it's pretty much what I expected, MW2 with some new maps. Oh, and we can play as the french on some maps.
