IE 10
... by the way, IE 10 doesn't like the forums ... the return key does nothing now ... I know, I know, Chrome, blah, blah, blah ... just thought I'd mention it ... Y'all probably already know this, but thought I'd give you a heads up if you didn't. To get the "returns" in my text I use word first then dump it back into the forum.

... got it ... had to work a little more with comp mode. Site looks nicer without it! But it's good to get it working all the same.My goal is to succeed in any mission - and live to succeed again.

Re: IE 10
personally i dont care what you use. Just an fyi though, a long story short (in KISS no idea how technical you are so dont take offense if this comes across as childish or trying to convert you).
Theres a standard for the programming stuff that drives websites. Most browsers conform to these standards... chrome, firefox, opera, etc, all really EXCEPT for IE. Microsoft kind of makes a point out of ignoring
IE is renowned for not working with many elements and requiring a LOT of work arounds to just make things work. To make a point i believe the recent css3 actually has tags that indicate a certain rule is a work around for IE... Yes, thats how common things do not work with IE (because microsoft refuses to conform to the protocols). Microsoft kind of makes a point out of it (divergence from the protocols) as what i wager to be a act of trying to direct the developer 'market' to their own technology (i.e. asp.net)
Long story short, we do the best we can to support IE but as its not the primary browser platform of our users we dont kill ourselves trying to appease all of IE's little quarks (SERIOUS understatement).
Ill look into it, but if the return key is not working in the wysiwyg editor thats on IE's side, even if you have javascript disabled, the editor acts as a form text input box. If IE10 does not support returns in html form text boxes.... not much we can do about it...
Long story shorter, not to try and force you to convert to a different browser, but if you want less all around aggravation and want to experience the site at full functionality, use a browser that's more friendly for website developers (because ie is hostile).
Regardless, thanks for the head's up. Can anyone else confirm this (I do not have ie10 installed)?

Re: IE 10
Thank you Bunni, I know y'all work hard and appreciate it. I am not technically proficient in this area, but I do understand what you are saying. I only post up with the hopes of helping when I see what may be an issue.
I'll continue to consider using Chrome (I have had it installed for ages) ... security is my biggest concern. I don't know how safe/unsafe it is.Last edited by Amador +JP2+; 12-04-12 at 11:16 PM.
