that's bandwidth, clown. Not latency. Damn kids.
cable modems on the average are significanlty further than DSL's from their inital access point to the internet. I think the maximum distance a DSL can be is less than 2 miles away 9000 feet or so. The signal in the line gets too degraded past that....at least that's the legend.
cable, however, can go for miles and miles. Meaning you are further and further away. Yeah sure, you've got 3-5 Mbps......like that has anything to do with your latency.
