yeah the other melee weapons are better for the mere fact they dont run out and they are so easy in a horde, pull out swing, for the chain saw, pull out rev x2 then use it. ive only ever used it for a laugh and i dont really go looking for it, i will check all room/most rooms and if i stumble across i wont usually pick it up
Freedom is the highest of all natural laws; freedom to take or spare a life. The choice is free, but a man is then slave to the consequences

I don't enjoy using it. It has two flaws, but one is good and balances the weapon a lot.
First Flaw: When using the Chainsaw, you seem to be owning the zombies so much, and keeps you out of a tight situation when there is a ring of zombies hording you. But, when killing all of those zombies, you get a blood squirt on your screen, which can make it harder for you to see around.
Second Good Flaw: It cannot be refilled. This feature really balances out the weapon.

I do like the chainsaw. I think that it is a bad ass zombie killing machine that is highly effective, but also it just goes back to feeling like you are in the movies. There are so many scenes out there with a bad ass dude going after monsters with the chainsaw. It's a weapon that really does have a psychological aspect to it, a lot like the axe.
I hadn't thought about refueling it, but why couldn't you just use the gas cans? Then there would be another option for the can rather than just "shoot this to burn everything" seems to me it could add a whole new strategic element to the games if you had to refuel things. It could get REALLY f*ing annoying.
My favorite melee weapon is still the machete however. I can get through anything with my machete.
:rofl:I do it all for the fans.. and the pills.

The sort of gas chainsaws do use in real life has to be mixed from two different things, so technically that wouldn't work :P. I suggested an alternative fuel cell like an ammo pack a page back which I reckon would be a bit more balanced than being able to fill it with every single one of the huge amount of gas cans scattered over the map lol.

It'd be a better weapon if it's fuel didn't deplete even when not attacking with it. For those of you who don't know; when it's idle (in your hands) it burns fuel, less than when it's attacking, but still wastes it, and then so you don't waste the fuel you swap to your main weapon, but that means when you switch it out you have to wait for it to start, which is precious seconds.
For me it's always the Katana or Deagle, although if I don't have one of those and I'm in a normal game or something I might grab it for shits and giggles since it won't really matter, although otherwise I'll grab one of the former, although on Advanced and higher I always prefer the deagle to save on ammo whilst keeping the automatic shotgun with me in case the zombies swarm (stick close, if they approach then you crack them back and unload a couple rounds, problem solved).
