I urge anyone that has taken a hit to do a full system scan. I have found the same java Trojan on my pc and laptop after getting these hits.

Perhaps ... but if there is an unpatched hole and people are only getting hit when visiting TPG forums then the attacking/malicious software resides at TPG or one of the ads we are running. The absence of a hit from other browsers could mean that IE is vulnerable or that other browsers are failing to catch the bad software.

I have alraeady done a full system scan with three different AV programs. None found a problem ... not surprising as Norton blocked the intrusion from the start and Malwarebytes has also. I always surf with protection so I don't believe (but cannot be 100% certain) that I have a virus on my end.

FYI

This is constantly popping up whenever I enter the forums: <removed bad link>

I've deleted cookies, and files and whatever else I can think of, only to have it pop up again as soon as I log in and start scrolling down the pages.

It's a fake ass virus scan(m).

Just popped on my laptop which never gets used. So i know its from tpgs site. Literally the last time i used this thing was a year ago.

Yeah..I'm getting hit with a Trojan when visiting the forums as well. Has happened to me twice with IE and only when I have my java turned on. Probably a bad ad.

My antivirus blocked another URL when i logged in today, its under rt.htm, the one that is currently highlighted. It tried downloading a file to my computer is how it snagged it.

I'm hoping this is just a wave of malicious ads that passes through ad networks. Especially suspicious because its the end of the year.

I'm loading IE, FF, and chrome, and seeing none of the above. I get a few odd errors on IE, but not like the above, and my Norton AV isn't being triggered.
