Thread: Flash Welcome Page

Would anyone be interested to see an flash intro/splash page before entering into the main ttp page? We could have some simple animations on it, maybe some clips of some action on some TTP servers such as people making calls or getting yelled at because they weren't following the call, something to show what TTP is all about right on our front page.

I've been thinking it'd be a nice little addition to the site that can be skipped if need be and maybe help show people what we are all about a little easier since many first time visiters don't know a thing about TTP.

As I said we can always add a "Skip" or "Enter Site" type of button if people don't want to watch it. And for our regulars they can just bookmark the page after the splash page.

I'll see if I can make one after finals. Most likely it won't be until after then as we're working on final projects now and preparing for finals. I'm working on part of the final project now. Doing more research though than anything, but I need to get started on actual production work soon. Minimum of 2 more weeks though and I can start working on a sample if there is enough interest to see one.

No, not just the name, but I mean in length. I could find a better example but it would be much longer. I might post a better, longer one so you can get an idea of what I mean later.

And actually, a much shorter version of something like in the BF2/2142 intros, but with TTP games and actual footage of our gameplay with our regs and their voices making calls and leading the team to victory and all that. It might get lengthy to show all of them, so maybe start with just CS, and the BF games for something shorter. We could do a longer version with all the games, but then a skip or enter now type of button would be required so people don't have to sit through the whole thing.

Ill volunteer to bitch someone out on the server for the intro. Hell it seems like I do it every map....

I think a flash intro to the site would be pretty cool. I'm sure MikeN could throw together something for it. Maybe just put a really high quality version of one of our Flash ads. That way we could change it out from time to time.

I'd think it'd look better if it was 1 animation, maybe updated as we add/remove games we host and maybe the banner if we have it in there as well.

That's all that is needed. It would mainly be for new comers to better understand what TTP is about, so they know we are serious about teamplay and the results that come with our standards. That is also why there would be a skip or enter site now button so you don't have to watch if you don't want to.
