Quake Live Forum?

Is there any chance we can get a quake live forum setup?

There are already two posts that can be moved over there if you want to create it.

How much activity has there been for this game so far?

How much more activity will this game generate to earn itself a forum?

I've already stickied one of your posts so FEED doesn't sink it. If you only have a few more I'll get those ones too

Thats where they are set up now, I stickied everything for them so FEED doesn't smother it

Anyhow it was just a suggestion to keep people who are playing it involved in the community. If the forum isn't wanted, I am not going to take any offense.

Side notes:

- Quake Live has multiple game modes. Half of which promote the same type of game play as most FPS.
1) Duel (1v1)
2) Free for all (Normal Quake)
3) Clan Arena (Team vs Team)
4) CTF (Team vs Team)

How about a subforum under game discussions like how armed assault has its own subforum? I am looking at that subforum and the last post was 1.10.09. Before that 11.8.08. That's a pretty quiet board...I think a QL board would be busier than that right now.

Quake gets ripped on a lot around here as an example of games people should go play when they don't want to teamplay, which is very true for free for all deathmatch and 1v1 duel modes.

But for example last night we had people in vent playing clan arena (6v6) and calling out strats and positions, etc.

Teamplay isn't inherent in certain modes of the game, but we sure make it teamplay in the modes we play.

The quakelive system has a friends list like steam friends purposefully setup so you can join your friends and teamplay if you wish.

The ArmA forums were moved there so that they wouldn't be deleted after the ArmA server was shut down. The rest of the Game Discussions sub-forums are for more general categories of games, and typically, a new/upcoming game will only get its own forum if TTP stands a reasonable chance of hosting it. Which in this case is impossible.

Ah ok.

Well at the least can we sticky post noexitpath's thread (that I linked above) with the TTP players with quake live ID's?

He is continually updating it with new ttpers and their ID's. That will help the ttp QL players know know who plays it so we can meet up via quake live friends.

And I unstickied them since the Game Forums are not the Quake Live forums. Those forums are not meant to promote one special game. If that ends up happening, we'll have a million stickies for every single little game not big enough for a separate forum so Feed doesn't push it away.
