You could be losing packets along the way. The pings that get through might still show good rates but you're losing data more or less.
I also just noticed this:
5 10 ms 11 ms 11 ms po-12-ar02.greenspoint.tx.houston.comcast.net [6
8.85.244.154]
6 * 18 ms 16 ms COMCAST-IP.edge3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.71.198.14
]
7 78 ms 15 ms 15 ms xe-11-2-0.edge3.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.71.198.13]
8 23 ms 15 ms 17 ms ae-24-79.car4.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.68.19.70]
9 20 ms 20 ms 16 ms THE-PLANET.car4.Dallas1.Level3.net [4.71.122.2]
10 15 ms 17 ms 17 ms te7-2.dsr01.dllstx3.theplanet.com [70.87.253.10]
I've had problems in the past with Level3 that were only resolved by having my ISP talk with them. You won't be able to communicate directly with them as they only talk to clients (company policy). However, they will talk to your ISP since their clients have to go through your ISP's servers at some point.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

I am at the point of what to do now. I use to be able to game with ease now I can't stay on .. It now always says problem with connection.
What do i need to do to get COMCAST to do something about it .. since my connection is the issue correct.

Request timed out.

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

Re: Tracert's
eww. edit that last post, and envelope everything in a code block. and yes, it looks like the comcast is the issue.

Re: Tracert's
what that says above is that you lost 1 out of 300 packets. you pinged the server address, so it could have been caused by anything along the route to the server, or the server itself. looking at your previous traceroutes, it seems that you start having problems (request timed outs) as soon as your second hop. i would do a large count ping test against those first two IP addresses. this will tell you if you are experiencing problems between your pc and the first router (73.79.88.1), or if it's between the first router and the second hop (68.87.201.85). either way, it looks like it's going to be in comcast's network, and i would talk to them.

Their technicians probably won't be able to help with a house call. All those do is check for local problems (bad modem/router/wires/etc.), but letting them know the problem will force them to fix the network. BTW, if you don't have it already I suggest getting insurance through the ISP to cover tech visits. I know my ISP charges $50 just to come out and look.
