Thread: Is HLstatsX down?

Note: I originally posted this in the TF2 Forum. This may be a more appropriate place since HLstatsX tracks other games, too. I am still learning my way around here.

HLstatsX shows the last time I was online was Wed 3rd Jun 01:45 AM, and I know I played a bunch this morning (Sat 6th Jun).

From the TTP "Contents" page: Last kill 01:28:34 AM, Friday 5th June.

Any updates are appreciated—just keeping up with the crew around here!

We are in contact with them to figure out the issue. They run regular business hours, and are in Germany, so probably tomorrow.

Aww... all the kills and what not from that evening are gone! There were so many of them!

yeha, it's pretty ridiculous for them to turn it off having, some sort of internal accounting issue (they set up a new lump sum payment, rather than a month to month billing).

likely, this happened to pretty much every HLstatsX premium account.

Why they didn't email us....most ESPECIALLY since we have like 9 hlstatsX premimum accounts running......is pretty unprofessional.

not to general public:

want to make some cash? Make an HlstatsX, in english, that does the exact same thing. And then don't screw up your billing.

And THEN, figure out your advertising stream. Put a few 160x600's, 300x250's, or 728's on every page that people are looking at for hlstatsX......and it's going to make enough money.

you can hire me as a consultant.

and make it so it can read CoD stats as well.

And BF2 logs as well.

yeah...it's what gamewager COULD have been, if they'd wake up.

They ran out of money. I think it may have been a business plan gone awry.

Like I said...if GW provided a service like hlstats, and that's essentially what it was, then we'd be using them instead of hlstats. we'd be payign them $4 a server, per month, for hosting our stats databases. AND, they be getting all the traffic from players coming in to check their stats, etc.

Yeah....still waiting on that call, GW. whenever you're ready to get in the black, you let me know.
