Thread: so I switched to firefox....

so I switched to firefox....
this thing is a piece of crap. Scrolls slowly (and this is a fresh install, as of 24 hours ago). opening new tabs freezes/pauses me being able to act on other tabs (like right clicking and opening a lot of unread posts at once).
Ridiculous.
Chrome doesn't do that. But of course, chrome isn't displaying the ads properly, and I have to be able to see the ads to be able to monitor/report them. Got this sweet ass plugin from one of our networks that let's me see an overlay on top of the ads, showing real time pricing, source networks, etc. Makes it 100X easier to track down bad ads. But..it only works on firefox....sigh.
Regardless. Firefox is crap compared to how FAST chrome is. Could care less about all the other stuff firefox is supposed to be able to do, since FIRST AND FOREMOST, it's slower than chrome, and thus sucks.

I use IE, Firefox and Chrome (depending on what I'm doing) but primarily Firefox. I avoid IE wherever possible, but there's a couple websites that ONLY work in IE. Chrome is nice and fast, but I need the functionality I have in Firefox before I can consider making the full time switch.

Thats weird. I use Firefox for everything.. No problems scrolling or new tabs or anything.. IE is what I think stands for Internet Exploder.. Have not used chrome yet tho..
I wonder why it works great for some people but slows others rigs down. Is it operating system differences?[quote author=...bigdog... link=topic=81507.msg1197022#msg1197022 date=1268327193]
