CSS servers on De_Scorch
Not entirely sure if this is a repost of any kind but here it goes:
Okay to start off, I do realize this problem may be easily fixed but I think it affects a lot of potential players or regulars in the server at the time being.
TTP's version of de_scorch was downloaded from www.fpsbanana.com however this version is not the eco-modified version from www.eco-league.com. This not only causes eco players to uninstall their version of scorch and then every single time have to reinstall TTP's version, but it also causes them to familiarize with two different versions of the same map ultimately hindering game play both on ttp and eco-league.
I believe that TTP should adopt the eco modified version of scorch, seeing how it is more commonly used and the only discrepancy for non-eco players would be to reinstall the map simply one time (versus the eco players who have to go out of their way to constantly re download a map).
One thing I would like to point out in case this preposition does not come into effect, is that eco season de_scorch is not in effect until week 8 to begin with.
In my opinion, the modifications only improve the map, in an attempt to equalize the threshold of power ordained to each team.
Just to add... we are currently the only public server that is popular that is hosting the scorch map.
Thanks for your consideration

Re: CSS servers on De_Scorch

Re: CSS servers on De_Scorch
I will post on this later. But I have seen plenty of fixes result in a D/L problem. Version mismatch. This comes down to a map descript variable that has nothing to do with the version, or Layout. A descriptor is sent to the engine, a checksum is made based on that, and a mismatch is made. (the map file names do not even need to match it's a totally different check)
There is no reason a TTP version vs ECO version cannot be defined. It is a matter of changing the descriptor for the map. (Again I will find and define this more clearly later). This also needs to be done with d2 night. and any other "fix" map thats TTP. To ensure a download of the TTP version. We need not kill servers with a TTP version ... player will accept a 2 minute download.
