Seen this surfing around the BFBC2 sites and stats.

Do we have banners and advertisements floating around like that? Does getting an ad on a site like that take money? I think TTP/TPG could benefit from this.

Of course we have ads floating around out there, and yes it costs money to get ads out on sites.

Those are all people quoting about TTP, not adds that flash at you when you visit a site like BF main or gamespy or _______ which have views by thousands. A lot of them views I bet are new viewers everyday.

Im not knocking BD or anyone. Post was merely a suggestion, if not to help shine some light on how TTP is actually getting out to other users.

Got to admit, in the OP when I went to that page I clicked on the ad. Its a nice looking ad and you want to see where it takes you.

I haven't seen one ad for TTP outside of TTP property.

Go look closely at that thread. Say at page 3.

We have ads out there.

But it all costs money, and Big looks at the relative returns and determines if it is worth putting a bunch of cash into online ads.

We get way more hits from google searches for Borderlands threads then we ever have gotten from our paid ads.

Google searches and direct browses are were TTP gets our numbers.

For reference, they have 333 users online now and we have 70.

Also, with further investigation I found TG had been established since 1996 compared to TTP in 2005. Considering the almost ten year difference between both communities making a home we are not doing to bad. Just think we could do better. "Takes money to make money" but word of mouth is a priceless investment that has proven itself to be a great advertisement all of its own.

TPG will have more views and be easier to find, there is no doubt once it is up and running.
