Thread: Broken Account

My brother made an account last year on TTP at about the same time we were having issues with new members and their receiving of the confirmation email. He never received a confirmation email with the address he registered with at that time, but when he tried to re-register it would tell him the email he used is already in use. We kept forgetting about reporting the problem every time the subject came up (something distracting always conveniently came along).

Fast forward today. He noticed we switched names, and he needs some good team players to play with. We try to register him on TPG today and when he tried using his email (the same one as for the the TTP account) and it says that his email is already in use still. We do a quick search of the members list here at TPG, and he is not listed. So we check the old TTP member list, and his account IS listed over there. It's like the email got transferred over but his account name didn't make it.

As mentioned, if you do a search of the members list here on TPG for 2Dumb2Die, it says that there are no matches.


Could his account be reset (or whatever needs to be done) so that he is able to get his confirmation email and start his TPG career?

had to do with vB not showing any members that didn't have at least 10 posts.

Thanks BD, I will have him try and log in when he gets home tonight.

Your fix is broken. He still can't retrieve password, it gives the error "You have not entered an email address that we recognize. Please try again or contact the administrator."

Bump again. He still cannot log in.

we have a guest forum, that is postable, for this exact issue. Tell his to post there, since you're not being specific enough for me to fix this.

We finally found it (didn't know it was a sub forum of this one, should be listed in places so guests know about it), but it says he must be logged in to post a new thread...
