Website Updates
Swear we had one of these.... oh well, have one now.
5/6/2011:
- Changed the printthread style of the 'TPG Shadow' theme, page's should now actually be printable.
- The 'human verification' profile field, should now, only be required upon registration and now longer be visible or required when editing your profile. (someone please confirm this, if its a problem for already registered users, i can do a mass fill for registered users, as any new users will have this field filled upon registration).
- Added a new registration field "What brought you to TPG", to allow TPG to track user-registration by game. Though thinking about this... banned users might skew the scale...
- Added Slight padding to bbcode list items, should space list items out more, make them more legible
This is not for any website malfunctions (unless otherwise requested), post website malfunctions here.Last edited by Bunni; 05-06-11 at 05:30 PM.

Opinion re this page: http://www.teamplayergaming.com/forum.php
Not having a border or padding around the icons for the individual forums makes them less distinct. Visually, they blend together and look like a collage.
They are not iconic. If they are not seen as a separate representation of the thing you're looking for, they don't help to draw your attention, your eye, and your mouse pointer to the thing you want to click on.

Consider the Game Discussions icon. By a coincidence of the icon itself, it works well (as an icon) because the dark joystick is surrounded by a pale, contrasting, background.
Contrast the Sports Talk and News...Drama icons. They completely blend together. A border and/or padding would take space away from what are (obviously) well-made images. But it would help them to work as icons, rather than art.
For comparison;

Imagine what this would look like without the space between each server icon.
Maybe it's a small thing, but it's lunch and when I fired up the site I was instantly struck by it.
