Community voting led server
Now I will preface this idea with my lack / ignorance of server management. I don't understand how it works so if this is an implausible concept I understand, figured I'd lay it out just in case?
Why not have a server that changes game every 2 weeks? It could be the TPG "Voters choice server?". IE TPG offers up 4 games to choose every 2 weeks, (Say Nuclear Dawn, Bad company 2 mixed rotation, Battlefield 2142, Battlefield 3 Rush), then it leaves it upto the community to choose which game they want? You could even limit it to one night a week, if it saves costs?
Is this a concept that would be feasible? Or is it way too much work (I don't mind helping out if you need someone to test / manage?).

Re: Community voting led server
Prefaces ignorance of server workings again:
Wouldn't it be a case of configuring server files and creating a bunch of "templates" for uploading / downloading to the server itself? I remember the HRD L4D server was pretty simple to turn on and off / update. Maybe a server admin can weigh in on the plausibility of an idea like this?

12-19-11, 09:10 AM #9The problem I see is with servers that we can't setup and take down on a whim. With source games we can launch as many servers, with as many different cfgs as we want, as long as our box has enough resources. With most EA games we have to pay per slot, and request that an instance be setup by our server provider. Not sure where games like Brink, Nuclear Dawn, et al fall in that equation. If they are like Source games it would be as simple as pressing one button to turn it on.
If/when we get another match server it would be easy to do.
